Award Winning Builder, Margie Tucker of Crown Construction of Oregon, is known for her flair for design and goes the extra mile to demonstrate both craftsmanship and creativity. As evident by Crown's portfolio, this third generation Oregonian captures the elegance and design of all home styles and builds a one of a kind product.

Crown Construction of Oregon's gallery shows a European brownstone, English cottage, farmhouse and two Frank Lloyd Wright inspired homes (contemporary and prairie styles). There is an Old Portland home that looks like it was built in 1910. Most recently Crown has built a federal Colonial, a South Carolina home plan with a screened sun room and a modern style with a loft interior. Of course there is an occasional, traditional, or true Craftsman home available upon request. These diverse styles are unique, yet true to form, and Crown takes pride in maintaining their integrity and originality while combining the innovative products available for our busy lifestyles today.

Crown specializes in building houses that fit personal lifestyles whether it is a custom home or spec home. For custom home buyers, they provide a one-on-one service from plan selection to putting the welcome mat by the door. "The process should be an adventure! People should not be afraid to take that first step; we are here to make their dream house a reality" For spec houses, Crown selects the imaginary buyer prior to the plan. They think of an artistic young couple and build a modern loft filled with design and technology or picture hip empty nesters and put them in a contemporary house with a master on the main and plenty of open shared spaces (ideal for entertaining). Although we build several spec homes yearly, we limit our  pre salesto (2) per year.  Buyers have become educated and savvy.  They come to the table with ideas to offer and legitimate concerns.   We allow the time to work closely with our buyers.  Crown houses are viewed by our buyers as investments.  Several have sold for $100,000 more in just one year.

Crown has carved out a small niche in this industry that caters to a very specific clientele. They take risks with style, color, texture and depth. If they can't find a plan that fits a lot or buyer's needs, they design it. They specialize in small, wonderful homes. "We prefer to build houses under 3,500 square feet. Personally, I would rather have a small house that looks like a million than a million dollar house that looks big".

Crown specializes in custom projects that require creativity and extra attention to detail.  When choosing sub contractors we look for artisans not just craftsman.  Our sub contractors need to be flexible and willing to try new ideas.
